WHO WE ARE

Our Company

Adventure Sitka is Alaskan-owned and operated, with headquarters in Sitka, Alaska. We offer a variety of activities to visiting guests, including kayaking, homestead, and bear-viewing experiences. (With more to come!). We aim to have visitors experience what locals enjoy doing during summer. Many Alaskans participate in activities that include adventures on the water, visiting remote destinations, and fishing. Our team at Adventure Sitka spends their summers outdoors, enjoying the same activities we offer to our guests. Our tours offer a sneak peek into our everyday life, emphasizing ensuring all activity levels and ages can enjoy. We look forward to showing you our “backyard” and the pristine beauty of Alaska!

Thank You,

Dennis McDonnell

Our Focus

SAFETY: Safety is our #1 priority and is integrated into every aspect of our operations.

QUALITY: Cleanliness, reliability, and friendliness are standards we use to measure quality. We believe quality hiring, training and leadership lead to the delivery of quality tours and services.

TEAMWORK: Clear communications and respect for each other build the camaraderie for our team. It’s what makes coming to work fun, and why we love what we do!

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: We are committed to doing our part as good stewards of this great land of Alaska, so visitors can continue to experience the grandeur this state has to offer for generations to come.

Our Team

There’s only one thing our team loves more than an Alaska adventure: sharing those adventures with our guests! Our crew is dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate about what they do. All staff go through a comprehensive training program covering safety for water and land activities, the history of the region and its first Native inhabitants, local flora and fauna, and, of course, customer service. We take pride in our team being well-rounded and committed to serving guests the highest quality tour experience in all of Alaska.

Our Safety

Our number one priority will always be the safety of our guests and employees. All guides receive extensive training to keep our guests safe on the water, land and up in the trees. All tours begin with an equipment and safety orientation, so guests feel safe and can spend their energy exploring and taking in the sights. Driver guides are all licensed commercial drivers and complete our rigorous Professional Driver Development Training Program prior to the start of the season.

We also follow strict daily sanitation procedures to combat the spread of any viruses and bacteria. We use CDC/EPA approved disinfectants on all equipment throughout the day. Our motorcoaches have all been retrofitted to increase fresh and new airflow and have PuraWard air filters installed. We also use an electrostatic sprayer to disinfect buses, boats and all other equipment used at the end of each day.
